Continuing our learning about India the children have made a Diva lamp. Diya's or Diva's are a clay lamp that is specially lit for Diwali (Indian Calendar New Year) to celebrate the festival of light and that good is better than evil. Later this week the children will be decorating these and then bringing them home.
